Today, when customers earn miles through using our partner’s services or wish to convert their partner points to KF miles, most non-air loyalty partners are sending FTP accrual files to SIA to inform us to credit the KF miles to the member’s KF account. Depending on the frequency which the partner sends us the FTP accrual file, customers will need to wait at least one day before the KF miles are credited into their KF accounts.

By integrating to our Credit Non Air Miles API, partners can call our API to inform us in real-time to credit the KF miles to the customer’s KF account. Partners can choose where in the customer journey they wish to call our API, e.g. at the payment stage, or only after the customer has consumed the partner services. There will no longer be a need for partners to create and send the FTP accrual files to SIA, and subsequently process the FTP response files from SIA.

In case the non-air miles accrual request has been rejected, partners can also receive the rejection response and reason in real-time via API, instead of having to wait for the FTP response file. Partners can then carry out the necessary internal actions e.g. reversal of any partner points deducted, and customer follow up in real-time.
